In this session Klaus-Dieter considers dealing with the return of a TMA. We discuss... how, at this early stage of processing feedback emotions and expectations can play a big, and very useful part in the process. This session will also discuss ways of keeping motivated in the TMA cycle, and picking up immediate points that can apply to what you are currently working on.
In this session, Connor McQuaid, a postgraduate student who is studying with the Op...en University, talks about feedback in his academic career. Feedback is an important part of academic work whatever your level, from discussions with your tutor, TMA feedback to supervision and publishing peer-reviewed papers. We talk to Connor about how the nature of his feedback has changed, and how he has taken on those ideas to be more reflective practitioner.
In this session, Jonquil Lowe will look at how to make the most from your feedback ...after you’ve digested your initial responses.
When you have had a few weeks away from your TMA and first receive your feedback, t...he first thing that you should consider is the first thing you are assessed on: the extent to which you have answered the questions that were set. In this session, Peter Taylor will introduce us to the idea that a brilliant piece of work may not receive a brilliant mark if it’s not on task! Bring a pen, paper and sense of humour to this session!
