The election process – a tactical and political process. What does the election say about democracy in America? Trump has already implemented some of his campaign pledges. Is this a good thing, i...n terms of demonstrating his leadership? What are some of the implications of these, in particular regarding the environment? In terms of the international community, what are some of the main areas that will change in terms of alliances and trade? Will: Bigger questions about what it might mean for the direction of US foreign policy • Will we now see a more isolationist US that’s less likely to intervene in other countries, etc.? • What does his presidency mean for international institutions that he wants to potentially pull out of? • How might this affect the wider international system? Eddie: Middle East, ISIS, Iran, the nuclear deal, how the relationship with Putin might affect the Middle East.
