In this session, we will discuss how sociology has changed and stayed the same over the past 50 years. Part of this will cover some of the ways that sociology was taught at the OU in recent years, ...how we are teaching sociology now and how we will teach it in the years to come. In particular, we will focus on how sociology is relevant to thinking about smart cities and how sociology can help us think about inequalities in society that are increasingly being highlighted online.
