Description
Did you know that your brain grows when you work on challenging problems? Finding something hard doesn't have to be a negative experience, noe does it mean that you are not a 'certain type' of pers...on - it's an opportunity for you to develop. In this session Katie Chicot and Sally Crighton, from the department of maths and statistics, will discuss mindset - in particular the difference between a 'fixed' and 'growth' mindset. The difference is helpful for anyone in an educational context, and this session will include some top tips for when you are stuck on a particularly challenging problem.
