Description
This session will explore the appropriate use of the ideas of others in your work and arguments. The panel will discuss different sources of ideas, the reasons why you might want to use other peopl...e’s arguments, and how to evaluate them. Ensuring that appropriate credit is given to the ideas of others is essential and the panel will discuss ways in which students can make sure the ideas are properly credited. Citing sources and references are real skills; this session focuses on the broader discussion around this, rather than the specific detail on how to format references which is covered in other sessions.
