Action for happiness 

Action for Happiness is a movement of people committed to building a happier and more caring society. We want to see a fundamentally different way of life - where people care less about what they can get just for themselves and more about the happiness of others.

Headspace 

You can try Headspace for yourself and learn the essentials of meditation and mindfulness with our free Basics course. If you enjoy it, then its time to subscribe. Once you do, you'll have bite-sized minis for when you're short on time, exercise to add extra mindfulness to your day and hundreds of meditations on everything from stress to sleep.

 

Mental Health Foundation 

Prevention is at the heart of what we do. Our vision is good mental health for all.  Our mission is to help people understand, protect and sustain their mental health.

Mind

We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.  We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

 

University – wide support    

Shout 85258 wellbeing support service launched for staff and students

We are proud to partner with Shout 85258 to offer free and confidential support to any OU student or member of staff who is feeling overwhelmed or is struggling to cope. Shout’s text message support service is silent, anonymous and available 24/7. Trained volunteers are available 24/7 can help with issues including anxiety, abuse, loneliness, self-harm and suicide.
