Critical information studies

The group’s goal is to study and change the impact of information on society. We seek to study information and the narratives which shape it from a wide range of disciplinary perspectives, through theory-building, empirical work, action research, and transdisciplinary dialogue. Our approach is critical: we study and seek to impact race, power, gender and class perspectives on information, taking both a historical and a contemporary approach.
