What is Evaluation?: CANCELLED

International Development seminar presented by Professor Bob Picciotto (Visiting Professor, King’s College London), who will explore the diverse concepts and models that have shaped international development evaluation.

Abstract
The seminar will sketch a history of the discipline of evaluation and examine its evolving role in international development. It will show the ways in which evaluation differs from social research and probe the implications of diverse evaluation definitions, models and approaches for evaluation methods and use. It will also speculate about the future of development evaluation in response to the ongoing market-led revolution in development policy and practice.
