This is a qualitative research project involving:

  • a survey of the range of practice in CP based on desk research around existing reports and on 10-15 short (snap shot) visits to schools and sites, highlighting good practice and potential pitfalls or challenging issues.
  • in-depth studies in a number of CP sites - totalling up to 10 days over a year in each location, chosen to represent established work, with different levels of youth voice, for instance within particular classrooms or projects, or across a school, curriculum area or CP region, at both primary and secondary level;
  • young people’s research forums in different locations, to comment on work in progress and emerging findings.
