This is the first programme for the course and is designed to give students a topical view of events in school management. It begins with an interview with David Styan, who chairs the School Manage...ment Task Force which is about to publish its recommendations. Having looked at the national scene, the programme then turns to a local initiative in Cheshire where a group of mainly headteachers is assessing the Management Development needs of colleagues and making recommendations.
