Description
This programme looks at the way one local authority in I982 responded to the provisions of the I98I Education Act, which instructs LEA's that . . . the natural place for the education of disabled ...children is the ordinary school unless this is not practically feasible or interferes with the education of other children or is not financially viable. How has the Act worked out in practice? What were the unforseen difficulties? What will happen in future to children with severe physical handicaps or severe learning difficulties.
