Description
This is the first radio programme of the course, and is intended to give students some idea of the problems people with disabilities faced in their education. A blind polytechnic student, a haemoph...iliac tax official and two members of a school-leavers' club who went to a school for the mildly educationally subnormal describe their experiences of school to Will Swann (OU). Questions raised include: Should they have gone to establishments set apart from mainstream education? What particular problems have their disabilities led to? How well has their education equipped them for life after school?
