Description
This is a programme for students who have just enrolled onto M101 for next year. Some items in the mailing which they should have just received are discussed. Firstly the diagnostic quiz and the pr...eparatory modules coming from that are considered by O.B. interviews from a tutor counsellor and three M101 students from this year. A survey of M101 students conducted by I.E.T. is also considered. The conclusion drawn from all of this is that intending students should attempt the diagnostic quiz regional advisory meetings and then take it along to the order their preparatory modules. They should then use the preparatory modules not only to familiarise themselves with the mathematics involved but also to get into the routine of regular study before the course starts in February.
