Description
Jennifer McCann is from Belfast she left school at fourteen and was imprisoned in Armagh Gaol which then moved to Maghaberry Prison from 1980 to 1990. Jennifer studied O Levels in 1983 and Arts and Social Sciences with The Open University from 1985 to 1990. She completed her Open University degree outside prison and graduated with an honours degree in 2000. In 2011, at the time of interview, Jennifer was a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for West Belfast at the Northern Ireland Assembly.
