Description
Tony Gallagher tutored Open University Social Sciences students in the Compounds and H Blocks of the Maze and Long Kesh Prison Armagh Gaol and Maghaberry Prison between 1984 and 1987. He gained his PhD from Queen’s University Belfast in the 1980s and worked as an Open University tutor between 1981 and 1995 on Social Science modules. At time of interview in 2012 he was Pro Vice-Chancellor of Queen’s University Belfast and had been Professor of Education there since 1999. He was appointed a member of the Maze and Long Kesh Development Corporation in 2012.
