Description
Robert Grosvenor, 1st Marquess of Westminster was also the 2nd Earl Grosvenor and MP for Chester for more then ten years before becoming Mayor of the city in 1807. He rebuilt the family seat of Eaton Hall in Cheshire and developed areas of London including Pimlico and Belgravia. He collected works of art including paintings by Rubens and Gainsborough and also bred champion racehorses.
