Description
Henry Stebbing was a cleric, writer and editor. He held various positions in the Anglican Church including deacon and curate. He became second master of Norwich Grammar School before moving to London in 1827. In 1841 he was appointed chaplain to the Lord Mayor of London. He became editor of the 'Athenaeum' magazine in 1832. As well as editing several theological works, he published his own poetry and writings, the majority of which were of a religious nature.
