Description
Joy Clark taught in schools in Armagh until 1975 when she was appointed by the Northern Ireland Office as the first Education Officer for Armagh Women’s Prison. In 1984 she moved from Armagh to become Deputy Chief Education and Training Officer for the Northern Ireland Office. She was appointed Chief Education Officer for the Northern Ireland Office with responsibility for Education in all prisons in Northern Ireland in 1989 and retired from this post in 1996.
