Description
Claire O’Kane has worked for The Open University from 1975 in various administrative roles within the Faculties of Social Sciences Maths and Science as well as in Associate Lecturer Services. She was involved in supporting The Open University’s work with students in prisons. As part of her administrative support to Diana Purcell (Senior Counsellor) Claire liaised with Prison Education Officers and Associate lecturers about timetable and tutorial issues and access to Open University course materials. Claire was a member of the Ireland Oral History project team (later renamed ‘Time to think’) since 2010 and has transcribed over one h...undred of the audio interviews.
