Description
Robert (Rab) Kerr is from Belfast. He left school at fifteen was imprisoned on a number of occasions in the H Blocks (the Maze and Long Kesh Prison) and spent a total of eighteen years there between 1977 and 1997. He studied Social Sciences with The Open University in 1985 and 1986 then Technology courses in 1992 and 1993. After his release he was involved in a local history project in Belfast and completed courses in Computing and IT in 2013. At the time of interview in 2013 he had published Three Gaols: Images of Crumlin Road Long Kesh and Armagh Prisons and was in the process of writing The Belfast Mural Guide which was subsequently pub...lished in 2014.
