In this programme, Lord Melchett, Minister of State at the Northern Ireland Office in charge of Education, answers questions about education in Northern Ireland. Discussion centres around the socia...l and political issues involved in potential change of the educational system from Grammar and Secondary schools to Comprehensives and Sixth form colleges. Particular reference is made to segregation on religious lines, and the Minister outlines the government's attitude to and support of an integrated system of education, and other changes which may arise under Direct Rule.
