Description
In this programme Denis Lawton rand Michael Armstrong discuss some of the issues arising from the accompanying written Case Study of Countesthorpe College in Leicestershire. They focus mainly on th...e common curriculum debate, the question of the autonomy of the learner, the tutor/teacher relationship in a school run along the lines of Countesthorpe, and how all this might redefine the curriculum content in general in secondary schools. While there are no major disagreements in their basic attitudes, each emphasises different aspects of approaching the changes in these areas.
