Description
A pupil's inclination to do well at school, and the decision whether or not to stay on at school are just two of the factors likely to be influenced by the pupil's commitment to school. Yet for man...y pupils no such commitment seems to exist. With the aid of childrens' own comments and observations, Roger Dale examines the nature of pupil commitment and considers the consequences of such commitment failing to evolve. Finally he suggests ways in which schools could begin actively to foster pupil commitment.
