Description
Today schools are trying to integrate more closely with the community about them. This programme examines the advantages and problems that affect both students and teachers in a school which is tot...ally embedded in the community. The recordings for "Kibbutz Schools" were made on Kibbutz Tzorah in the Judean Hills in Israel. A teacher and two of his pupils discuss the structure of the curriculum, the pressures of living in a close community, and the effects of living in a small country conscious of pressures on its national security.
