The second interview is with Sir George Porter, Director of the Royal Institution. The programme looks at Humphry Davy from the point of view of 20th Century scientists, Sir Harold talks about Davy's attitude towards his work and the long-term significance of his discoveries. Sir George discusses Davy's role as a scientific communicator and his contribution towards the standing of the Royal Institution. The interviewer is Dr. Colin Russell who also introduces the programme."
