This programme looks at the efforts being made to harmonise vocational qualifications across Europe in readiness for the open job market of 1993 and beyond. It considers the (NVQ) and how suited it... is to fit any European system that is developed. The level of language teaching and lack of basic education in training schemes is contrasted with European system. The programme also looks at barriers to labour mobility such as employment law, work practices and cultural differences.
