Description
This cassette is divided into 4 bands. It is intended as a practical aid to students studying 16th Century Art and to guide students in the types of questions they should be considering. On the fir...st band Di Norman, lecturer in Art History at OU looks at Religious Art. On Band 2 Catherine King Lecturer in Art History at the Open University looks at secular art with particualr reference to women artists. On Band 3 Tim Benton lecturer in Architectural History at Open University looks at 15th Century maps and discusses how these might help us understand cities and their trade. On band 4 Tim Benton looks at Renaissance architechture; At it's origins and developments and gives students a practical guide in reading and understanding buildings of this period.
