Description
This programme introduces the various definitions of continuity which motivated the original definition of a topological space and, after examination of the transition to this definition in terms o...f category theory, it revises the different topological properties that have been discussed previously in the course. The final property - the fixed point property - is used to distinguish between the sphere (which doesn't have the property) and the disc (which, by Brouwer's Theorem, does).
