Footage description: | Over shots of the disaster simulation and debriefing sessions, John Naughton introduces the programme. The rest of the programme consists mainly of the simulation debriefing session with representatives of the various organisations involved in the simulation seated around a large table. The meeting opens with comments by the Chairman, Commander Satow (Port of London Authority) and then goes straight into the first topic of discussion, the problems of organising and maintaining proper communications between all the services involved. The discussion focusses mainly on radio communication. The session next turns to a discussion of transportation problems which came to light during the exercise, particularly the lack of marine transport for firemen involved. The session then briefly discusses a complaint by Ambulance Service representatives of the lack of help which was made available for their Service. The hospital representative, Dr. Martin, explains to the meeting, some of the problems, for the hospital, which were brought out during the exercise. The members of the meeting then discuss these points. Finally, Dr. Martin lists some of the benefits which he feels the hospital obtained through the exercise. Commander Satow sums up.
