Dekker goes on to explain what parts were played in the re-development of the area by the Dutch government and the EEC in general. Reed interviews George Thomson, the EEC commissioner on regional policy. He explains what his office does. Thomson continues by explaining how regional policies work and how they may effect Britain. Thomson outlines the importance of the regional fund and how it will be levied. Reed concludes by stating why the negotiation for the regional fund broke down. |
