This video contains two bands. Band D, Magnetic fields, accompanies Unit 6 of the course and investigates, by practical experiment, the torques exerted on magnetic dipoles (In particular a test coi...l and a bar magnet) by other magnetic dipoles (in particular a source coil and the Earth). Band E, Bending magnets, is devoted to a case study of magnetic spectrometry at the Daresbury Nuclear Structure Facility.
