Description
This video looks at the shape of the electric potential function V in the neighbourhood of a point charge and an electric dipole. Two different co-ordinate systems are identified - spherical polar ...and Cartesian - using bare 3D axes. The programme goes on to explore the relationship between the gradient of the potential function and the electric field: E = -gradV.
