The bitter civil war fought in Biafra in the late 1960s is examined in this film, as part of a wider debate about the causes of conflict in many parts of the Third World, following decolonisation. ...Archival film is used to look at the complex causes of the dispute, but also to show the way the war was reported in Britain at the time, reflecting attitudes about the Third World, which today seem rather archaic.
