This is the first of two programmes examining television situation comedy series. It deals with the BBC's "The Likely Lads" and its follow-up series "Whatever Happened To The Likely ...Lads?" It looks at the comic strategies, themes of social class and sexuality and changes between the two series, using extracts from both.
