Description
Evolution by naural selection depends on the availability of suitable genetic variation. In the first part of this programme Dr. Jim Bishop, Liverpol University, looks at the development and spread... of warfarian resistance in rats. In the second part of the programme, Professor Tony Bradshaw, Liverpool University, examines the evolution of copper tolerance in the grass Agrostis at Parys Mountain in Anglessey. Both parts of the programme illustrate the processes by which evolution by natural selection takes place.
