Description
Lee and Robert Reines were both raised in the south-west, and yet at first glance they've chosen a lifestyle that sets them apart from modern America. Just how do they, and their energy autonomous ...dome home, fit into the landscape of freeways and transport, money, academia, farming and friends? Having seen "Home Sweet Dome" which simply described the 'what' and the 'how', and heard the 'why' on radio, the student is now shown a broader picture. One new idea is a wider systems boundary. On whom does the Reines family depend? Another is that of assessment. What are the implications of such radical innovation? After seeing the film, the student should be able to summarise the technological and social infrastructure that supports Lee and Robert's way of life and should recognise how the film heralds the study blocks yet to come. She should be able to state clearly to what extent Lee and Robert are self sufficient. The music used is from LP's chosen by Lee Reines.
