Everyone knows the story of Darwin's trip to the Galapagos - but less well known is that much of evolutionary theory was influenced by his observations at home. Jimmy visits Down House - and recre...ates many of Charles Darwin's crucial experiments. In the second programme Jimmy visits the experiments that Darwin did immediately after the publication of 'On The Origin Of Species' in 1859 and therefore concentrates, mostly, on his ingenious work on plants.
