This session is about the Open University’s advertising campaign ‘Dream Believe Succeed’ and the plans to recruit, support and retain students. We will talk to Debbie Britton, Head of Marketi...ng, and to Vice Chancellor Peter Horrocks. In this session, Peter will discuss what’s currently happening in higher education in terms of attracting and recruiting students, and how this advertising campaign fits within the University’s vision for the future. He will also say why he thinks it’s a great time to join the OU and provide advice to new students based on his own experience studying here. Debbie will describe some background to the advertising campaign, evidence relating to the idea of changing careers and enhancing employability, and the impact of the campaign.
