This final session will focus on PLE in prisons. Ruth McFarlane and James Mehigan will discuss issues such as whether prisoners have a right or entitlement to education and to what extent this can ...be seen as a positive outcome; prison education and how it relates to school curricula; and the need for prisons to achieve GCSE-equivalent ratings for prisoners. They’ll also examine higher-education options available to prisoners – the OU in particular – and the practicalities and implications of this.
