Naomi is in an ideal position to look forward at future music education as she has written a MOOC and has been invited to two international conferences in online distance music education. She is al...so involved in an ERASMUS partnership which is building an online MOOC in conducting. Looking forward, the ability to teach a physical skill online has huge implications not just for music but other subjects. She has also just written music units for the new level 1 module A111 Discovering the arts and humanities. Graham has also been involved in producing a MOOC (Why Religion Matters: Religious Literacy, Culture and Diversity) which distils some of the key interests of RS at the OU and beyond. He chairs A227 “Exploring Religion” and has contributed to A332 “Why is Religion Controversial?” As a past President of the British Association for the Study of Religions and is enthusiastic about increasing the kinds of religions that can be studied. George's interest is in virtual fieldwork and using digital media as a means of teaching research skills and the digital as a field of research itself. His interest is in how we can use the developing digital resources of the OU to create independent researchers with all the transferable skills that this implies.
