Description
Major Baron Julius Friedrich von dem Knesebeck was principal Equerry to Prince Adolphus, the Duke of Cambridge (1774-1850), the 7th son of King George III. He was a member of the aristocratic Knesebeck family from Germany. Following his death in 1859 he was buried in the Cambridge family mausoleum at Kew.
