Description
'Rhianna -- A bright, articulate six year old, Rhianna wants to be an actress when she grows up. Recently her mum Tanya has become concerned that Rhianna feels insecure and shows high levels of anx...iety when faced with challenging situations. Tests in her first year showed that Rhianna was a secure and confident child. So, where has the anxiety she's now showing come from? And what can her parents can do to ensure it doesn't become a problem as she grows up? -- Calvin -- When Calvin was born ten weeks prematurely, his doctors predicted a one in 10 chance of him suffering brain damage and development problems. By the age of two, the grave predictions about Calvin's future seemed to be coming true. He scored poorly in mental and physical development tests, and showed worrying behavioural traits. At three, Calvin joined a nursery but wouldn't make friends with any of his peers. The experts wanted to investigate further, but his mother Helen made the extraordinary decision to go against their advice. The programme shows the power of a mother's love and belief in her child, and asks whether Helen's decision to ignore medical advice was the correct one.
