OU Library and Scottish Universities Press

This year, the OU Library joined with 17 other Scottish University libraries to create a new open access publishing press. The initiative was a response to the need for more opportunities for researchers to publish as open access – especially for book publishing – as a result of sector policies such as the new UKRI Open Access policy. The press will provide a cost-effective route for open access book publishing for researchers. The press will be open for proposals for new books from academics at participating institutions (including OU academics) later in 2022.
