Description
The programme continues the introduction of cadences begun on the preceding programme. Dr. Howard demonstrates the characteristic sound and uses of the two remaining cadences, plagal and interrupte...d. Numerous music examples of each are given in a variety of contexts. The TMA assignment at the end of the programme requires the student to recognise the different cadences in six passages of music. By way of revision these cover all four cadence patterns discussed both in this and in the previous programme.
