10. Mulberry Lawn

To the west side of Walton Hall is the Mulberry Lawn, named after the large Mulberry tree which is thought to be the oldest tree on the Walton Hall estate. Believed to have been planted in 1908 to commemorate the birth of Primrose Harley, whose family lived at Walton Hall.

The first image on this page shows the Mulberry Lawn in 1973. The Mulberry tree is just out of shot on the left side of the image. The second image from 2018 shows the Lawn with the Mulberry tree in the centre of the shot.

11. The Hub

Built originally in 1970 the Catering Building (later called the Refectory) was rebuilt and rebranded as the Hub in 2010. In addition to the large catering facility the Hub complex also houses the Hub Theatre, the Mulberry Suite (formerly called the Beale Suite) and the Medlar and Juniper Suites which are used for a variety of functions and events.

The third image on this page shows the Hub.
