Description
Frederick Locker was an English poet and book collector. He was extremely popular among a large literary circle which included Charles Dickens, George Eliot and Alfred Lord Tennyson. He catalogued his collections which included rare books, first editions, prints and manuscripts in a volume entitled the 'Rowfant Library' published in 1886. He married for the second time in 1874 and in 1885 he added his wife's surname to his own to become Frederick Locker-Lampson.
