Robert Montgomery was an English poet and clergyman. His first publication in 1828 was 'The Omni-presence of the Deity' was well received and by 1858 it had reached it's 28th edition. Montgomery held curacy positions in Shropshire and Glasgow and finally became minister of the Percy Chapel in St. Pancras, London.
