Description
Thomas Binney was a Congregationalist clergyman. He was nicknamed the 'Archbishop of Nonconformity' due to his various sermons and writings on the subject. An abolitionist, Binney attended The Anti-Slavery Convention of 1840 as Chair and was an active member of the British and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society.
