We see examples of the following types of play: Solitary, parallel, looking on, joining in, co-operative play and complex co-operative play. Further scenes from the playgroup demonstrate how these types of play interact and develop. We then see how the parent or playgroup help can adapt different roles with children in order to encourage their play. By being aware of different types of play they can involve themselves more effectively. |
