Footage description: John Naughton introduces the programme. Shots of the local sheriff and his assistant making a social call on the Reines family. Robert and Lee Reines are interviewed by Nigel Cross inside their dome home. They tell of some of the drawbacks of a dome shaped house which they have become aware of since moving in. Some shots of their baby son while they talk. The Reines' talk about the need to earn money to support their life style. Over shots of Robert at the University of New Mexico, commentary tells of the consultancy work he does there. Over shots of Robert Reines doing various jobs in his workshop and around his house, commentary explains the various technical skills needed to maintain the dome home and the various carried out there. Shots of Robert Reines at a garage owned by a friend, Bill Ellis. He points out that he depends on Bill Ellis for much technical advice on mechanical systems and also for mechanical parts. Shots of Lee Reines driving to Albuquerque to do her weekly banking and shopping. Shots of her at a drive-in bank and of her in a supermarket. Shots of Robert and Lee Reines in the fields outside their home plowing and sowing a crop. Also shots of their irrigation system at work. Commentary explains what the Reines hope to achieve with their farm. Shots of the Reines family visiting friends who are nearby farmers. Commentary points out the extent to which the Reines rely on these friends for information and advice on farming. Robert and Lee Reines, inside their dome home, sum up the programme.
